Instructor Spotlight: Chef Hilmi Rebhi

Meet Chef Hilmi Rebhi, an internationally trained chef whose culinary journey spans continents and cultures, bringing the rich traditions of Mediterranean and Arabic cuisine to the global table.

Originally from Tunisia, Chef Hilmi has honed his craft across renowned culinary destinations including Italy, Qatar, and the Philippines, developing a style rooted in authenticity, technique, and respect for tradition. Fluent in French, Arabic, and English, he effortlessly bridges cultures—both in the kitchen and beyond.



 

He is currently the Owner and Head Chef of ITARAS in the Philippines, a restaurant celebrated for its genuine Arabic and Italian offerings, where every dish reflects meticulous craftsmanship and time-honored methods.

Previously, Chef Hilmi served as Chef de Cuisine at Yasmine Palace Restaurant in Qatar (2023–2024), leading a fine-dining team dedicated to elevating classic Arabic cuisine to international standards. His European experience includes working in Milan, Italy (2021–2023) as a Pizzaiolo at Pizzium – Viale, where he mastered traditional Neapolitan pizza-making—from precise dough fermentation to wood-fired baking.

His professional journey began in Tunisia, where he founded and managed Allo Pizza (2018–2021), seamlessly blending Mediterranean and Arabic flavors into a distinct and successful dining concept.

Today, Chef Hilmi continues to share his expertise with passion and precision, inspiring chefs and food enthusiasts to understand not just the techniques—but the culture, science, and soul behind truly authentic cuisine.
